Let's play outdoors!

The weather is warming and everyone wants to be outside enjoying the sun. Fortunately, the City of Lowell has eight parks with a variety of activity options to enjoy.
There are baseball diamonds, football/soccer fields, playgrounds and a skate park. There is even a dog park for the furry family members. All right here within the City providing lots of opportunities for children and families to have fun.

In addition to the City parks, there are walking and hiking trails built and maintained by the Lowell Area Recreation Authority and the North Country Trail. The Fred Meijer Trail passes just north of town in Vergennes Township. Grand Riverfront Parks North & South are Lowell Township parks with terrific facilities. There are County parks in both Vergennes and Lowell Townships. Plus, all the lake and river access points throughout the area. We won’t go into those here, but they are great resources in the greater Lowell community.

During the next few weeks, each City park will be featured with the activities available. Profiles of Creekside Park, McMahon Park, Richards Park, Riverwalk Park, Scout Park, Stoney Lakeside Park, and the Upper Bridge/Moose & Rogers property. Perhaps there is one you haven’t heard about before or visited. This is a great time to explore! Stay tuned!
